ABOUT ME

 I'm a Tampa, Florida-based freelance sports photographer specializing in action sports and editorial portraits of athletes. I absolutely love shooting both college football and NFL, and have shot for wire services and for teams, and I love the thrill of being on the sidelines and capturing the game as it unfolds.

I shoot in the sweltering heat, or in the rain. I’m one of the first ones at the stadium, and one of the last to leave. I skip the free lunch at halftime so I can upload photos; I lug of ton of camera gear and lenses with me, and I love every minute of it. It’s a sickness. I know.

I’ll never forget the feeling I got when I walked out of the tunnel to shoot my first NFL game at Solider Field in Chicago (Bears vs. Brown. Bears won). I couldn’t believe I was getting to do this – marry two of my loves: photography and football, and it has taken me to stadiums all over the country, and I still get that feeling every time I get to shoot a game.

Although football is my passion, I love shooting action sports of any kind, from NASCAR to NBA, Hockey to Soccer, Major Leagure Baseball to the PGA – Capturing dynamic action is thrilling to me. Just freezing that moment, and bringing the viewer something they wouldn’t normally experience that close is incredibly rewarding. I can’t wait until my next shoot!

When I’m not on the sidelines, I teach workshops and online classes on sports photography and I’ve published a book on my sports photography post-processing workflow (found on Amazon.com).
